Early 19th century clock in walnut.
Beautiful walnut case, light colour, height 2.64 m, panelled sides. Full door with attractive inlaid wood at the top representing two doves.
Convex enamel dial, black Roman numerals in relief, with indication of the minutes; signed “Robier a Lyon”.
Robier was a clock maker in Lyon Vaise circa 1810-1820.
Carved brass hands.
“Au coq” pediment in cast brass, carved.
Striking on bronze bell: one strike on the half hour and repetition of the hours.
Movement with verge escapement.
Pear-shaped pendulum with surveyor’s chain; rear wire suspension.
